About Julie Freeman

I am a licensed dietitian with a master’s degree in counseling. I am a certified diabetes educator and have completed clinical training in behavioral medicine from the Mind-Body Institute. I have been practicing nutrition for over thirty years and have an avid interest in complementary and alternative medicine. I have developed and implemented a variety of programs tailored to individuals and groups, and have been featured on radio, national and cable television stations.

“My philosophy is one of believing that we are all in the process on a continuum. We are always evolving, learning and progressing. And occasionally that process needs support.”

My Personal Story

Before the age of eight my name was "Fat Fern", and by nine I was on my first diet. I continued to struggle with weight, dieting and sugar addiction which led me to the path of pursuit of nutrition and psychology.

I am forever grateful for the lessons learned, the empathy achieved, and the underlying energy to help others heal their weight and body image issues, as well as learn about nutritional approaches to treating ilness.
